Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Norse arrangements
Case reference FOI2026/01590
Received 4 October 2026
Published 29 October 2026
Request
Please provide the following recorded information about any Council arrangements with Norse Group companies, their predecessors or any Norse joint venture, from the Council's FIRST agreement with them to the date of this request. Include ended contracts as well as current ones. If the Council holds no record of any such agreement, please say so; the remaining questions will then not apply. Please use the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or, for environmental information, the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Existing register entries or schedules for EVERY agreement since the first one, showing the Norse company's legal name, service, contract value, start and end dates, and extensions or renewals. Please identify the date of the first agreement as recorded The first signed agreement and each later signed agreement, renewal, extension or variation, including the relevant fee, profit-sharing, disposal commission, success-fee and break clauses. If there is no property or asset-disposal arrangement, please say so. Existing annual totals for payments to Norse companies, and for dividends, profit shares or other sums received from them, for each financial year covered by those agreements. A ledger extract or existing annual report is sufficient; individual invoices are not requested. Existing records of the Council's ownership interest in Norse-related companies or joint ventures, its board representatives and their relevant declared interests during those agreements. Any existing Council decision or risk review since 7 September 2026 about continuing, extending, changing or ending these arrangements because of changes to the LGR timetable, including recorded break or exit costs. Please state if no such review is held. Existing extracts or exact links to published records are sufficient. Please include records held on the Council's behalf by a provider where applicable. The Council's digital contract, finance and property records are relevant to retrieval. If relying on section 12 FOIA, please identify the systems searched or considered, the estimated time to locate and extract EACH numbered category, and whether contract-register, supplier-ledger and archived-agreement searches were assessed. If no searchable record covers a category, please say where the records are held and give section 16 advice on a workable refinement. Apply the EIR's separate rules where relevant.
