Please provide the following information regarding pest control and extermination services handled by or on behalf of the Council: 1. Annual Extermination / Treatment Volume For each of the last five financial years (2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26), please provide the total number of pest control treatments, exterminations, or call-outs carried out by the Council (or its contracted pest control provider). 2. Breakdown by Pest Type For each year listed above, please provide a breakdown of these figures by pest type (e.g., rats, mice, bedbugs, wasps, cockroaches, squirrels, or other pests).

Response

1. Annual Extermination / Treatment Volume
For each of the last five financial years (2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26), please provide the total number of pest control treatments, exterminations, or call-outs carried out by the Council (or its contracted pest control provider).

 

We had a total of 88 pest control complaints, we only deal with rats & mice, although we did have 7 other complaints.

1 = Flying Cockroach

3 = Wasp nests

1 = Moles

1 = Badger

1 = Pigeon

Customer would have been given advice to contact their own pest control company.

2. Breakdown by Pest Type
For each year listed above, please provide a breakdown of these figures by pest type (e.g., rats, mice, bedbugs, wasps, cockroaches, squirrels, or other pests).

 

Contractors attended:

13 Rat Complaints

1 Rats & Mice

1 Mice.

Any other complaints did not match our criteria for providing a pest control paid service. Advice would have been given to these complainants to contact their own pest control company.
